Memory Engagement Facilitator

What will you get to do as a Memory Engagement Facilitator at St. Paul Elder Services?

  • Plan, implement, and facilitate a variety of engagement programs for individuals living in the early to middle stages of dementia in a Home and Community-Based setting. These programs will meet their physical, psycho-social, cognitive and spiritual well-being.
  • Develop a monthly engagment calendar to meet the participants interests and needs, including visual spatial skills, language, reminiscing, math, memory/recall, and physical activity.
  • Complete daily attendance, update individual services plans as needed, and inform any changes in participants conditions to Memory Care Resource Center Director and/or families.
  • Serve noon meal and snacks, maintain the cleanliness and safety of the Memory Care Resource Center.
  • Adapt programs as needed based on interests and abilities of the participants.
  • Develop and maintain positive rapport with staff, participants, and their families.
  • Coordinate with volunteers as needed to schedule and develop enriching programming.

  • 56 hours per pay period (every 2 weeks)
  • Hours are flexible, but must be present during core programming hours – Tuesday/Thursday 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM, Wednesday/Friday 8:30 AM – 2:30 PM.
